BI Developer

Job Description:

The Toyota A&F FAST (Finance Accounting Systems & Technology) team is seeking a skilled BI Developer to design, develop, and implement BI solutions using Power BI, Alteryx and Power Automate. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of BI technologies and be able to deliver high-quality, efficient BI solutions supporting the Accounting and Finance Division.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, and DAX measures.
• Build and optimize SQL queries and data transformations.
• Integrate data from ERP systems, data lakes, and other sources.
• Translate Accounting & Finance business requirements into effective BI solutions.
• Automate manual reporting and streamline data workflows.
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing reports, datasets, and pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and alignment with governance standards.
• Provide clear documentation and support for BI tools and reports.
• Collaborate with BA and stakeholders to ensure the implementation of BI solutions according to business needs.
• Available for after hours and weekend support during limited business critical times

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development or data analytics.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard design.
• Strong SQL proficiency for data extraction, transformation, and optimization.
• Experience working with ERP or financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
• Solid understanding of Accounting & Finance processes, reporting cycles, and data structures.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical BI solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to support both technical and non‑technical users.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP, Ariba, and Microsoft applications.
• Experience with Azure, data lakes, or cloud-based architecture.
• Familiarity with ETL tools or data pipeline development.
• Experience building paginated reports or semantic models.
• Background in process automation and reducing manual reporting workloads.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX).
