NovaCue Privacy Policy

  1. What NovaCue Collects

NovaCue processes text from your conversations on supported AI
platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok) to learn your preferences.
This includes prompts you type and responses you receive.

  1. Where Data Is Stored

All data is stored LOCALLY on your device using Chrome’s built-in
storage APIs (chrome.storage.local, chrome.storage.sync, IndexedDB).
Your preferences, episodes, and conversation context never leave
your browser unless you explicitly enable Cloud Sync.

  1. What Data Is Stored
  • Learned preferences (keywords, types, weights)
  • Episodic memory (conversation summaries, not full transcripts)
  • Dynamic type classifications
  • Session context (last 10 conversation turns)
  • License information (email and license key, if activated)
  1. Cloud Sync (Optional, Pro Feature)

If you enable Cloud Sync, your preferences are encrypted and
transmitted to Leading Torch servers for cross-device
synchronization. You can disable this at any time. Data is
encrypted using AES-GCM before transmission.

  1. Enterprise Telemetry (Enterprise Only)

Enterprise deployments may include anonymous usage telemetry
(interaction counts, platform usage, processing times). No
conversation content is transmitted. Enterprise users can opt
out in the Preferences Manager under Pro Features.

  1. What NovaCue Does NOT Do
  • Does NOT sell your data to third parties
  • Does NOT transmit conversation content to external servers
  • Does NOT track your browsing history outside supported AI platforms
  • Does NOT serve advertisements
  • Does NOT use your data to train AI models
  1. Third-Party Services

NovaCue contacts the Leading Torch license server
(leadingtorch.com) solely for license validation. No
conversation data is transmitted during license checks.

  1. Machine Learning

NovaCue runs a local embedding model (all-MiniLM-L6-v2)
entirely on your device using ONNX Runtime WebAssembly.
No data is sent to external ML services.

  1. Data Deletion

You can delete all NovaCue data at any time:

  • Preferences Manager → Settings → Reset All Data
  • Or uninstall the extension (clears all local storage)
  1. Children’s Privacy

NovaCue is not directed at children under 13 and does not
knowingly collect data from children.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted at this URL
with an updated date.
